Module 1: The Role of the Leader in Strategy Formulation
The development of corporate strategy and an appreciation of what elements make an effective strategy are skills required by the leader to manage vision and direction. We explore the organisation as a whole and all elements needed for a successful organisational performance.
Culture, Values and Engagement
The leader has a vital role in building culture and role modelling values. This session explores culture as a pillar of strategy and the impact of culture on engagement, assumptions and decision-making.
Leader as Coach
You will not only learn and practice how to be an effective coach, you will also experience being coached yourself. You will have the opportunity to develop a personal action plan based on your survey feedback and personal goals with the assistance of an executive coach.
Executive Presence and Presentation
Focusing on a leader's presence and communication skills this session looks at status and flexibility, winning presentations, inspiring and compelling communication techniques and the use of stories, drama and emotion to develop presentation effectiveness.
Persuasion with Influence
Influence is one of the most vital management tools to deal with diversity, interdependence and alliances in the modern business word. You will explore the persuasion process as well as individual behaviour during conflict situations. Learn approaches to persuasion, common traps and how to avoid them.
Between Modules
The break between modules gives you time to apply your new skills and knowledge back in the workplace. Real improvement in personal leadership effectiveness often starts during the break. Peer coaching session held during and between modules provide the continuity and personal accountability needed to apply your new skills, embed learning and create meaningful and lasting change in your behaviour.
Module 2: Leadership in Action
Return in Module 2 to review and discuss issues and events in your leadership journey since beginning the program. You will be challenge to take your development further by working on a team-based project and reassessing your personal development plans.
