Overview: Bringing strategy out of the depths of planning and into fruition is easier said than done. It requires knowledge, foresight and a dual focus on strategy development and leadership. This program will assist you to gain that crucial dual focus. Day 1

  • Keynote presentation by a CEO on strategy development

Day 2

  • Culture as a source of competitive advantage
  • Aligning strategy and culture
  • Execution of a culture change strategy
  • Experiential Change Simulation

Day 3

  • Mapping strategic relationships
  • Leading teams through change
  • Managing conflict and resistance
  • The strategy and change journey

  • An understanding of core questions about value creation through strategy and strategic innovation
  • Frameworks to align intended strategic positioning with implementation strategies
  • Practical techniques and tools in strategy development, strategic change and cultural transformation
  • Understanding the role of leadership in successful strategy and change implementation
  • Opportunity to work on your own ‘strategic challenge’ within a small group of peers


This program will earn you 6 credit points towards the Certificate in Executive and Management Development (CEMD).

You can earn a CEMD by gaining a total of 12 credit points across at least 2 different disciplines.


This program is supported by the AGSM Executive Education e-learning platform.

You will be asked to identify a strategic challenge you have been involved in, or plan to introduce in your organisation. You will also be required to complete relevant pre-reading.
