When you use WYSIWYG programs such as Dreamweaver, Frontpage etc, these programs automatically generate your XHTML for you in most instances. If you want to get up to speed quickly when learning any of the above programs, then having a solid understanding of XHTML will enable that. Another significant reason to learn XHTML is for troubleshooting purposes. Some times in these WYSIWYG programs, it is necessary to work with the HTML code directly to fix your problems and to create better, âcleanerâ sites. See the course outline below for more details.
