Who Should Attend Any employee who has been previously trained to competent person standard and who may work, or is working in confined spaces. Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to: - Understand the legal requirment of AS/NZS 2865-2001 (Safe Working in Confined Spaces) - Identify the likely hazards faced by person involved in confined spaces work - Conduct risk assessment for confined spaces - Complete an entry permit for confined spaces work - Demonstrate the requirement for isolation and other risk control measures prior to confined space work - Demonstrate the use of safety and rescue equipment required for confined space work - Demonstrate the use of gas monitoring equipment and the methods of testing the atmosphere - Demonstrate the technique of casualty assessment - Demonstrate rescue procedures. Training methods The course involves “hands-on” practical use of the equipment and is tailored to meet client needs in accordance with the objectives stated above. Awards Participants who successfully complete a practical examination will receive a NSCA Certificate of Attendance.
