Overview: This Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) course is designed to teach you the knowledge and skills necessary to maintain breathing and circulation in an adult, child or infant following cardiac arrest. Content is based on Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines.
- Chain of survival - Assessing the situation - DRSABCD - Performing CPR - Demonstrating the use of an automated external defibrillator - Care of the unconscious person - Special techniques for children and Infants - CPR in special circumstances - Infection control - Reporting procedures
On successful completion of this course you will be issued with a Statement of Attainment for the nationally recognised unit of competency from the Health Training Package, HLTCPR201B - Perform CPR.
