Overview: It is essential that students have at least 6 to 12 months solid experience with InDesign or have completed the 2 day Adobe InDesign Essentials course, and are familiar with the use of paragraph & character styles, master pages and paragraph rules. Completing the InDesign assessment quiz is part of the prerequisite. There is an emphasis on using shortcuts and replacing repetitive methods using global features, such as text & object styles, Find & Change and setting the right Application preferences. Adobe Bridge is included to preview and select files and images, as well as to Batch Rename, Create Contact Sheets, Rate & Label files etc. to help with a better workflow by completing exercises producing stationery, brochures, magazine layouts and forms. Best practices relating to design and typography, as well as shortcuts, are emphasised.
